Saturday, March 25, is Keep Denton Beautiful’s annual Great American Cleanup, Denton’s biggest and longest running litter cleanup and beautification event. Currently in its 29th year, GAC mobilizes more than 2,000 Denton citizens each year to improve the beauty and health of the Denton community. Last year, The Great American Cleanup had more than 2,000 volunteers participate, and cleaned nearly 4 TONS of trash and recycling from our city’s streets, waterways, and public spaces!

Denton’s 29th Annual Great American Cleanup begins at 9 a.m. on March 25, with volunteers cleaning assigned locations citywide. The network of cleanups will then be followed by a Volunteer Appreciation Party at the Denton Civic Center, located at 321 E. McKinney St. The volunteer party will feature a free lunch, live music, kids’ bounce houses, and more!
